Learn to lead so people want to follow

This leadership program is a combination of


  1. Understanding the concept of leadership, so you can choose the appropriate approach in different contexts: e.g. understanding types of power, stages of autonomy, and hierarchy
  2. Doing the inner work that enables individuals to lead: like vulnerability, emotional intelligence, integration of intellect, emotions & body sensations, and
  3. Learning the practical tools that let you put leadership into practice: e.g. how to do great 1:1s, make decisions in a way that creates commitment, and holding others accountable

Objectives

  1. Support leaders’ personal growth to make their leadership style one that people genuinely admire and respect. Shift from leading through authority to leading through attraction and inspiration. (Help them win.)
  2. Equip leaders with the knowledge and tools necessary to cultivate an intrinsically energizing and motivating culture. (Help everyone else win.)
  3. Help leaders adopt behavior that fosters psychological safety - creating an environment where everyone feels safe to contribute and experiment leading to innovation and adaptability. (Help the company win.)

Fomats

Group sessions to

  • align on shared mindset and language
  • act consistently towards the rest of the team
  • e.g. How do we make decisions? How transparent are we? How do we deal with conflict?
  • grow together as a leadership team
  • practice leadership skills with each other (e.g. structured role-play)

Self-study prep-work with curated material to

  • learn the basics of concepts

Feedback survey for people being led to give feedback about the leadership they receive

  • make the current state of perceived leadership transparent
  • clarify the objectives of the program and how we identify that it was successful
  • create commitment among leads

  • involve people being led -> more commitment from the rest of the team
  • make progress (or the lack of) visible
  • guide program adjustments


1:1 sessions (optional) to

  • discuss leadership topics from group sessions in depth
  • sparring on current leadership challenges
  • work on individual growth areas
  • hold participants accountable (partially)

Time investment

  • quarterly full-day on-site workshops
  • monthly 2h group sessions in between on-sites
  • 1h reading or listening self-study to prepare for group sessions
  • 1h follow-up actions after group sessions to put the content into practice
  • optional bi-weekly 50-min 1:1 coaching sessions
  • 15 min per week asynchronous exchange on chat group

So, here is my zero risk offer: if you conclude after the first onsite + 2 online sessions that this program isn’t valuable for you and you don’t want to continue, there is no cost.


Yes, that means you could screw me over and get the first onsite and two online sessions for free without ever having had the intention to continue. I am betting on that after the first few sessions continuing the program will be the more attractive and sensible option for you.
